Bush and Battlefields Tour KwaZulu Natal
The Bush and Battlefields Tour of KwaZulu Natal gives you the best of 2 of the worlds that my home province has to offer … the Bush and the Battlefields!
We start with a stay at the beautiful and luxurious Nambiti Private Game Reserve where we could be lucky enough to see the Big 5. Nambiti is a real jewel right in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands! While staying here we will be spoilt with delicious food, and drives around to spot some of the incredible Southern African wildlife. Life simply does not get much better than this!
We arrive just in time for a peaceful afternoon game drive, and hopefully spot some of the Big 5 going about their daily business. We will have another game drive early the next morning, followed by a delicious breakfast.
Then we will take a leisurely drive to Spionkop Lodge, right in the KwaZulu-Natal Drakensberg.
While at Spionkop Lodge we visit the infamous Battle of Spionkop.
The Battle of Spionkop is not a great story in human history, as is the case with all wars but this is still very a very interesting chapter in South African Anglo-Boer War History. Many South Africans, and other colonists were killed on this little hill. People from all over the world have a small connection to the South African Wars, because so many other countries became involved.
