Botswana relies heavily on tourism
The Botswana Government have therefore made it fairly easy to enter their country, and a large number of countries have easy visa requirements. However, please check here to determine whether you will need a visa to enter Botswana.
The currency used in Botswana is called the Pula, which means rain in Tswana. At the moment 9.5 Pula is worth approximately 1 USD; but check the current conversion rates for your currency here.
Chobe National Park: Chobe was Botswana’s first national park, and is still probably the one with the highest game concentration in the country. Chobe is a must-see for anyone doing a Southern African Overland 4×4 Tours of Botswana.

The Tsodilo Hills are a very special place in the North West part of Botswana. They are not visited as much as the Okavango Delta but this is still an amazing place. The highest part is 1350m above sea level and they have the highest concentration of rock art in the world. Bushman have lived here for thousands of years and their paintings can still be seen. The Okavango panhandle offers some of the best tiger fishing in the world, and the bird life is beautiful.
