Kosi Bay Turtle Adventure Tour

Come with us to visit magical Kosi Bay, located on the tip of the Greater St Lucia / iSimangaliso Wetland Park for a Kosi bay turtle adventure tour.

Kosi Bay has been designated a World Heritage Site, it is located on the north-eastern coast of KwaZulu-Natal not far from the border between South Africa and Mozambique.

From late November for a few weeks huge Leatherback and Loggerhead turtles haul themselves out of the water onto the beach to dig nests and lay their eggs.  Later on in February we have the opportunity to watch as their hatchlings head back out to sea. Viewing these magnificent creatures is a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed!

Of course there is plenty of other activities to be had while on a Kosi bay turtle adventure tour. The snorkeling is world class and fishing for fresh sea food for dinner is great. We also see how the local fishermen made fish traps in the Kosi bays. A bit of everything for us to see and do. The drive is about 4 hours from Durban. Most of the drive is on tar roads but to really explore this beautiful place we need a 4×4 vehicle. You can drive with us or use your own 4×4 vehicle.
