Project Description

Botswana Safari.

Our 14 Day Overland 4×4 Botswana safari includes visiting Goo Moremi. While here we get to do a stunning walk up the Moremi gorge to see Cape vultures and beautiful scenery and of course a stretch of the legs. Up next is camping at Khama rhino sanctuary. Definitely worth a visit. Then 2 nights at Boteti river camp with a day visit into the Makgadikgadi pans. This is right along the Boteti river so the African wild life viewing is spectacular. Of course a tour to Botswana would not be complete without a visit to the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. This is really a fantastic way to get a good taste of Botswana. Check here to see how you can join us in your own 4×4 vehicle.

On this tour, we experience the very best of African wildlife viewing.

We visit Botswana’s remote and harshly beautiful Makgadikgadi pans. A slight detour can get you into the wild Central Kalahari. This place is very remote so you must be self reliant. Then we travel through the pristine, nature lover’s paradise, the Okavango Delta; also in Botswana. After leaving the nasty big city of Johannesburg we drive into Botswana. On the way we stay at Goo Moremi, Khama rhino sanctuary and Boteti river. We spend 2 nights here to really experience this beautiful place. Then it is on to do some shopping in Maun before we head into the Okavango delta. The Moremi and Savuti National Parks are unbelievable. We camp in the Moremi reserve for 2 nights to explore the area. Then driving past Khwai we head to Savuti. The last night is spent on the banks of the Chobe river with Namibia on the other side. All this wilderness ends as we pop into Kasane.

While here we do a boat cruise in the morning.

This gives us great views of wildlife coming to the river for an early morning drink.

For those who want to add something quite magical to this tour, we also offer an additional day trip into Zimbabwe . This is to see the impressive Victoria Falls or “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (the smoke that thunders) as the locals call it. At 1078m wide it is the largest curtain of water in the world and a World Heritage Site! Victoria Falls is truly an incredible experience, even standing in the view spot you feel the spray of these magnificent falls. After all this excitement we drive South to Elephant sands where they say ‘elephants rule’. Then more South past the Nata bird sanctuary where lots of flamingos and pelicans hang out. Finally we leave beautiful Botswana and on to Johannesburg.

Use the form below to contact us about this trip if you would like to join us for a safari tour of Botswana, with the option to add on a tour of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
