Kafue National Park. Zambia.
Kafue National ParkKafue National Park is a vast, immensely beautiful, largely under-appreciated and utterly irreplaceable wilderness. In a country where 40% of Africa's water flows through it you will probably get wet. Also you are guaranteed to see amazing African wild life. They come from miles around to drink. Zambia is an interesting country to get around as there are lots of rivers that we need to cross and a lot of that depends on local ferries. However the roads are fairly good and it is certainly all worth it once you get to Kafue National Park. Not a lot of people bother to get there so it is lovely and remote. My favorite part is at Busanga where we spend a couple days checking out all the wild life.
