Zimbabwe certainly is a country with a lot to offer. From the unbelievable Victoria falls to the wild Mana pools and the mystical Zimbabwe ruins. Please click here to read more about Zimbabwe.

On our way to Zimbabwe  we stop in at the extremely popular Elephant Sands Resort in Botswana.

Here we are able to enjoy watching prolific herds of elephants wondering right through our camp. They walk vast distances to the fresh water pumped to a drinking hole within the camp.

We then cross the border into Zimbabwe where we experience the "Smoke that Thunders" at the majestic Victoria Falls.

David Livingstone named this natural wonder after Queen Victoria in 1855. There is lots to do here like the world famous white water rafting, bungee jumping and helicopter flips over the mighty Zambezi River. Breakfast or sundowner cruises are available on the splendid Zambezi river. On the Zambian border activities such as leisurely boat cruises, horse rides or for the extreme angler, the allure of the elusive Tiger Fish on the end of your rod. Victoria falls is a real place of adventure.

As we leave Victoria falls we drive past Hwange game reserve. There is a lot of wild life here so we really should visit. Below the Kariba dam on the banks of the Zambezi we find the famous and highly favored Mana pools. Mana means 4 in the local Shona language as there are 4 pools here. This is where you can experience special and amazing wildlife.

After Mana pools a stop in at an educational Bird Center outside the Capital Harare is worth a visit. The Matobo National Park should be on our list of places to visit as it is the spiritual center of this amazing country. Here too we can visit to Cecil John Rhode's grave. Of course we have to visit the Zimbabwe ruins after which the country is named.
